What's New in r100
Release r100 was published on 15 May, 2018
The main update this release is the Multiplayer plugin is now available in the C3 runtime. This is one of the most complex plugins in Construct so it was quite a project to port over. However now it's done, there shouldn't be any other difficult jobs to finish porting all plugins to the C3 runtime, so it should be a lot easier from here on! There are a number of other updates to ensure the C3 runtime is working well.
Additionally, Chrome is changing how the 'Add to home screen' feature works. In future the 'Add to home screen' banner will not automatically appear. Instead web apps can optionally show an 'Install' button that does the same thing. This should also be supported on desktop as well in future. To make sure C3 works with the new approach, we've removed the start page notification that suggests adding to home screen, and replaced it with an 'Install as app' main menu button that appears when the feature is available. Use this to get an app-like shortcut on your home screen or desktop. It hides the browser UI so it looks more like an app, and just like in the browser it keeps working offline!
Finally we have a few more bug fixes, mainly aimed at improvements in Safari and Edge. We're always working to make sure C3 works as well as possible in all major browsers.
