What's New in r102
Release r102 was published on 30 May, 2018
This release adds a new Welcome dialog that appears on the first run. You probably won't see this if you've run Construct 3 before, but it should help guide new users to things that help them get started. We've also added the ability to directly preview example projects on the Start Page, which is another thing to help new users try things out easily. Simply click the "Preview" button by example projects and they'll run right away without opening the project!
There are also lots of updates to the C3 runtime, including support for the NW.js plugin, a range of bug fixes (several of which help the demo games like Kiwi Story work correctly with the C3 runtime), and another optimisation that helps system and "single-global" objects (e.g. Function) conditions and actions run even faster. If you'd like to know more about the optimisation we'll have a write-up with some of the technical details and benchmark results on Ashley's blog shortly!
We've also updated the Mobile Advert plugin to comply with the new GDPR regulations in the EU, which involves showing a consent dialog and providing details like a privacy policy. This is still a work in progress, but we should have full support for both Android and iOS shortly.
Finally thanks to the efforts of contributors we're pleased to be able to include a new in-progress Indonesian translation. If you'd like to get involved, please see How to help translate Construct 3. On the subject of translations, we're also asking for a community review of the Portuguese (Brazilian) translation before we enable it by default in Construct 3 - please see this forum thread to help with reviewing pt-BR. As ever we're thankful for all contributions from the community!
