What's New in r130
Release r130 was published on 10 Dec, 2018
This is - hopefully - the last round of bug fixes before a stable release, which we're aiming to make on Wednesday. Barring any unexpected major issues, we should be able to release then, at which point the C3 runtime will finally be the default for everyone!
This release customises the C3 runtime's "not supported" message to mention updating the Android System Webview and Chrome apps on Android, since we've seen some confusion over why that message appears. Both those apps are auto-updating by default, but it appears some users disable updates for them, and then wonder why content that relies on them doesn't work. Hopefully this will help people sort out their updates. Similarly if the "not supported" message appears on iOS, it includes a note about how the iOS simulator is not currently supported due to an Apple bug.
Further, after many headaches trying to get video playback to work again in iOS apps since the latest case of Apple breaking it, we've found a new way to get it working. However this only works for iOS 12+. If you need video playback in an iOS app, make sure you target iOS 12+ to ensure it doesn't appear for users with older versions of iOS that won't work.
There's a few other miscellaneous fixes which you can find in the changelog. Stay tuned and hopefully we'll have a stable update for you soon.
