Release r344 was published on 30 May, 2023
It's a new stable release of Construct! If you're updating from the last stable release r336, then this update includes changes from r337, r337.2, r338, r339, r340, r341, r342 and r343. Highlights include:
⭐ The new Clipboard plugin supports copying and pasting
⭐ The new QR code plugin lets you easily show a QR code in your project, as well as dynamically generating them
⭐ The new Cryptography plugin can perform encryption and hashing operations
⭐ Binary data now supports data compression
⭐ Custom actions now have a Copy all picked setting
⭐ Hierarchies now also support tilemaps and form controls
⭐ The Parameters Dialog now shows type annotations for expression parameters
⭐ New system and 3D Camera LayerToLayerX/Y expressions
⭐ 15 new example projects
⭐ The Turkish (tr-TR) language is now enabled by default
⭐ There is experimental WebGPU support for both the editor and preview, intended to give addon developers a head-start in porting their effects. See this forum thread for more details.
While we strive to ensure long-term backwards compatibility, this release has one potential known breaking change to be aware of:
⭐ Some bug fixes in the Platform behavior may result in a slight change in how the movement works and some projects may need to be adjusted accordingly. We are very reluctant to ever make any breaking changes, but in this case it's important to guarantee the reliability of the Platform behavior.
