What's New in r67
Release r67 was published on 14 Nov, 2017
This build focuses on various improvements to the interface. First of all we have a new Simplified user interface mode. It hides advanced plugins, behaviors, properties, and event features, allowing you to focus on a clean and simple set of features. This is intended for education customers, especially with younger students. Simply open Settings and enable the new Use simplified user interface setting.
Secondly we have a variety of other interface improvements, including a refreshed Settings dialog, updates to the Parameters Dialog appearance, and numerous other improvements and fixes. One extra significant change is we've now removed the beta warning popup on startup. Construct 3 is still in beta, but we should be out of beta soon, and we're more confident about its reliability now. By now the warning was probably doing more harm than good. We still strongly recommend keeping regular backups though, as with any important digital work.
Finally contributors to the pt-BR translation will be pleased to see they can now try it out in developer mode! Thanks to the contributors who have helped improve it to this level. Additionally we've started working on adding support in the SDK for drawing plugins (i.e. plugins that appear in the Layout View). This involves quite a large API surface, so it will probably take a few releases to mature. We'll be updating the documentation soon to cover the new features. We're interested in developer feedback to make sure we add all the features necessary for third-party drawing plugins to work.
